This policy explains what happens to information when you use Small Claims Map (smallclaimsmap.com).
You don't need an account. We don't ask for your name or contact details, we don't sell information, and the demand letter you write stays on your own device.
Everything you type into the demand letter, the "Can you file?" checker and the filing checklist is processed in your own browser. It is not sent to us or stored on our servers. The PDF and Word files are created on your device. The filing checklist remembers which steps you ticked using your browser's local storage, so you can come back later; you can clear it by clearing your browser data for this site.
Our site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare's servers receive technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it delivers them. We do not currently use advertising, tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this page before doing so, describe what is collected and by whom, and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and to fix problems you report. We don't add you to any mailing list unless you ask.
This site is meant for adults dealing with small claims cases and is not directed at children under 13.
Because we don't keep personal information tied to you, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you've emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, write to us and we will delete it. Residents of states such as California may have additional rights under state privacy laws; contact us to exercise them.
